12 Soul Enriching Books I’m Reading In 2019

There’s nothing better than starting the year off with some really great books. As long as I can remember i’ve always been a book worm, I love diving into a new adventure, cracking that spine and really engulfing myself into the characters and stories that lie within. Back in 2016 I committed to reading 12 books in 12 months, doesn’t seem like much but life can be pretty busy so that was both a realistic and unrealistic goal that I challenged myself to. I believe I made it to 10 books which was far better than the zero books I had read the previous year.

The a few of the books I remember reading in 2016 were;

  1. Girl Boss- Sophia Amoruso
  2. Year of Yes- Shonda Rhimes
  3. Gentlewoman- Enitan Bereola II
  4. If You Have TO Cry Go Outside- Kelly Cutrone
  5. Lean In- Sheryl Sandberg
  6. The Little Prince-Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

This year I’d really like to commit to reading 10 books over the course of the year. The books i’d like to read this year are;

  1. Song of Solomon- Toni Morrison
  2. Daring Greatly: How the Courage to Be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Live, Love, Parent, and Lead- Brené Brown
  3. Dance First, Think Later- Kathryn Petras and Ross Petras
  4. Kingdom Man-Tony Evans
  5. Brave Enough- Cheryl Strayed
  6. Grit-Angela Duckworth
  7. I’m Judging You-Luvvie Ajayi
  8. The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck- Mark Manson
  9. The Science of Influence-Kevin Hogan
  10. Brain rules for Baby-John Medina

Are you reading any books this year? Let me know in the comment section.
