5 Ways I Protected My Peace During Pregnancy And Into Motherhood

To raise a happy baby, I first needed to be genuinely happy. My high risk pregnancy meant that it was extremely important to protect me, my peace of mind and my daughter. Pregnancy is easily one of the hardest things physically that a woman can go through. The toll it takes on you mind, body and soul really changes the landscape of a woman’s life.
The beautiful thing about motherhood and the journey into it is not just seeing your child’s growth but your own as well. 

Here are 5 ways I protected my peace during pregnancy and into motherhood;

1. Instil boundaries; what will you tolerate? What will you not accept?

2. If it’s constantly stressing you out WALK AWAY FROM IT!

3. Say yes to YOU! Time to make you the priority.

4. Consistency matters! With you and the people around you. 

5. Self-love! When you know your worth you won’t allow anyone to treat you less than it. 

Mama, this journey is hard but you got this, give in to the process of growth. Don’t forget that while you are growing the child you are also growing the mother. Care for you as you do for your little one.
