Fall is definitely my favourite time of the year, the weather is crisp, the leaves start to change and it just seems like the world around you comes alive. There’s something about ordering your favourite warm drink- it’s always a Grande Soy Chai Latte for me, throwing on layers and bundling up that reminds you of how generous life is.
One of the best parts about motherhood for me has been creating traditions with Londyn that we now get to do annually. One of those traditions is a trip to the farm. In October we bundle up and head north to a farm of our choosing, we check out the pumpkin patch, and enjoy the mazes and fresh baked goods that are made by the incredible Ontario Farmers. This year we took the trip a little out of the area to Willow Tree Farm. It was such a great experience, we previously had been here when we went strawberry picking. Below you’ll find a few of my favourite Fall traditions that you can do with your little ones.
- Apple picking
- Trip to the farm
- Raking leaves & jumping in them
- Corn Maze
- Make Pie (Apple or Pumpkin)
- Fall picnic in a park
- Shop at a farmers market
- Decorate your porch
- Pick a pumpkin
- Carve your pumpkin
- Make a candy apple
- Roast pumpkin seeds
- Visit farm animals
- Movie Night
Let me know what you would add to the list, or what some of your favourite Autumn traditions are.
