Summer in the 6ix

Londyn and I had such a great Summer, we day tripped across the entire city. We went here, there a little of everywhere and just found complete bliss in taking ourselves where ever we wanted to go. When I think back to Summers with my Oma, we always did so much, Nathan Philips Square, Harbourfront, I mean the list goes on and on. I knew that now that I had my own daughter I wanted to do the same. I wanted her Summers to be fantastic, full of things to speak about in the Fall.

I want to remember this Summer forever, it was our second together but the first one we could enjoy together. Here’s a round up of what we did this Summer.

What an emotional day, my baby girl turned One. What a blessing it was to be surrounded by our friends and family. We all got together at a park to eat, play and celebrate Londyn. She had such a great day but by the end of it she was exhausted. Our friends and family showered her with gifts and were so generous, it’s a day we’ll never forget.

This Summer started with the sound of two little feet pitter pattering all over my apartment. My little girl learned how to walk and it was so much fun to watch, her fear turn into determination. She is such a fighter and she got up every single time she fell down.

On a Friday evening, I decided that I wanted to take my little girl to the waterfront in Burlington, it’s so quiet, quaint and cute. We spent hours in the Sun. I watched my little girl enjoy the water, the sand and sun. It’s truly moments like this that really do remind me of how happy I am that this is now my life. She is just the sweetest girl and when it’s all said and done i’m the lucky one.

One of the biggest things we did this Summer was MOVE. Londyn and I upgraded our home from a cute bachelor in the city to a 2 bedroom townhouse in the suburbs. With a front yard, backyard and lots of friends close by, we couldn’t have made a better decision. Londyn has a lot more house to roam through, her own bedroom and a full playroom in the basement. We’re slowly yet surely making this house our own and I can’t wait to finish it.

We had the best day with old friends and new friends celebrating my niece Jae’s birthday. We went to wild water kingdom and had an absolute blast. It was the perfect temperature and day with the kids. Couldn’t have spent a better day any other way. Met some bomb mommy friends and Londyn met some yummy new friends.
