The other day I was in bulk barn standing in line to check out, a woman in-front of me had a young baby in her arms around the same age as my daughter. She was cashing out and as I pulled up behind her I noticed that her son had spit up all over her jacket and unbeknownst to her he was smearing it all over his face and her jacket.
Without even thinking twice I asked for some paper towel and I went to work on her jacket, I wiped her son up, her jacket up and made sure she was good. It cost me ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to fix another woman’s crown. It didn’t put me out, it didn’t take away from me and it didn’t slow me down but what it DID do was let this woman know that someone had her back!
Mamas out there know that a bit of kindness can go a really long way; so to the moms out there who need it just know that if I catch you needing a hand, I’m gonna give it to you, if I see you needing assistance, I’m gonna offer it to you. If I notice something you don’t I’ll bring it to your attention because that’s what I want my daughter to see. I want her to know that it’s perfectly okay to have someone’s back if they need it.
I’m stepping up and I’m being the change I wish to see, so if someone had your back mama pay it forward and extend that to someone else who needs it.
Life is truly better when we’re kinder💗
