Ripley’s Aquarium with an Infant

Today was one of those days that you imagined and even though what you imagined was sheer perfection, the reality of what happened still managed to be better than any dream I could have ever dreamt. Marcus (one of my younger brothers) works at the aquarium and after having gone to the aquarium back in 2015 I really enjoyed it and have always wanted to go back.

This morning started off a bit rocky, as she does every morning, Londyn was given a bottle of formula as soon as he wakes up but before finishing the bottle she threw it all back up but was in great spirits and laughing so I didn’t worry too much about it. I started getting ready and she as she always does she followed me into the bathroom and we got ready, I tried giving her breakfast a few hours later and she was just so exhausted so I put her down and she didn’t fight it, she was ready.

After she woke up, we got ready and headed to the aquarium. With all the construction we got a little lost so we ended up in a condo lobby and the concierge was able to help us, we finally made it to the aquarium, we saw Marcus, checked our coats and set off on our aquatic adventure.
It was so special to be able to do these things with Londyn, it was so special to be able to have the time to see her light up when she was excited but also so endearing that I got to hold her close when she was afraid. She was in love with the jellyfish and the stingrays.

I worried about her being too young but even at 9 months Londyn enjoyed every bit of the aquarium and so did I. We can’t wait to tackle the ROM this weekend with our family.
